Reflection for Self-portrait
In Term 1 and 2, our class drawed ourselves using negative space. Then, we dot-painted the negative space.
This process was done first by Mrs Vincent taking a photo of us in a pose, and then drawing the negative space while looking at the photo upside down. We did this to turn off our logical side of the brain. After, the positive spaces were painted. Our class got a lot of inspiration from Auntie Sally.
When painting, I had trouble with the dots because they came out all different sizes. I overcame this by wiping the dot with tissue before it dried or testing the dots on a piece of paper before I started dot-painting.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed doing this self-portrait.
